Think of this like running a marathon: you wouldn’t run the race without significant training prior, right?! Pregnancy is an amazing journey and we want to ensure you have the best journey possible. Pre-pregnancy physical therapy is a great way to prepare the body for conception, and help reduce the risk of joint pain, diastasis, incontinence and so much more! Our goal is to ensure your body is ready to carry baby and address any pre-pregnancy issues associated with musculoskeletal dysfunction.
This may include but not limited to:
Previous injury or musculoskeletal dysfunction
Weakness of core and/or pelvic floor musculature
Treatment may include, but not be limited to:
Strengthening your pelvic floor muscles Hip pain
Core stabilization to minimize risk for “mummy tummy”
